The Basic Standard

What we check.

A Basic Company meets all five pillars below, whatever its size or sector. We look for evidence, not perfection: a small business with simple, working processes passes.

Built on the Trianzor Balance Framework™

Each layer rests on the one beneath it.

The pillars are ordered by dependency, not importance. A weakness low in the stack can't be made up for higher up, however good the systems or strategy.

  1. Financial truth comes before execution. Pay, filings and plans all rely on accurate books.
  2. Execution comes before governance. Compliance is only as reliable as the operations it reports on.
  3. Governance comes before strategy. Good decisions need stable systems and checked numbers.

Layer 1 · The source of truth

Bookkeeping & Financial Control

Books are accurate, current and reconciled, and the company pays what it owes on time.

What we look for

  • Bookkeeping kept current by a qualified person or firm
  • Bank accounts and ledgers reconciled every month
  • Annual accounts approved and filed within the legal deadline
  • Business and personal finances kept separate
  • Supplier invoices paid on agreed terms, with no collection proceedings

Evidence we may ask for

Last filed annual accounts, accountant's name, a recent bank reconciliation, two supplier references.

Layer 2 · Trust in motion

Payroll & People Operations

Everyone who works there has a contract and is paid correctly and on time.

What we look for

  • Written contracts for all employees
  • Salaries paid on time, at or above legal minimums
  • Statutory deductions and benefits calculated and paid correctly
  • Payroll reconciled to the general ledger
  • Basic health-and-safety measures in place

Evidence we may ask for

Headcount by contract type, a sample anonymised contract, a payroll-to-ledger reconciliation, safety officer or policy.

Layer 3 · Licence to operate

Compliance & Governance

Properly registered, taxes paid, and straight with customers.

What we look for

  • Registered with the trade and companies register (RCS in Luxembourg), with current articles and licences
  • Beneficial owners declared (RBE in Luxembourg)
  • Taxes and social contributions declared and paid on time, with no arrears
  • Tax and payroll filings agree with the accounts
  • Published terms, transparent pricing, a complaints process and compliant invoices

Evidence we may ask for

Register extract, business licence, beneficial-owner filing, tax and social-security certificates, terms of business, complaints process, a sample invoice.

Layer 4 · Scalability engine

Technology & Automation

Systems that protect data and keep controls working, in proportion to the company's size.

What we look for

  • Privacy notice in line with GDPR and a named person responsible for data protection
  • Access control, with access removed when people leave
  • Regular backups, tested, and software kept up to date
  • Approvals and controls built into systems where volume justifies it

Evidence we may ask for

Privacy notice, a list of core systems, a short note on access, backups and approvals.

Layer 5 · Direction and growth

Strategy & Advisory

Decisions grounded in reliable numbers, and a plan for a bad day.

What we look for

  • An annual budget or forecast, reviewed against actual results
  • Appropriate insurance (liability, professional indemnity where relevant)
  • Every key role covered by a second person
  • Major decisions documented with the numbers behind them

Evidence we may ask for

Current budget or forecast, insurance certificates, a short note on who covers key roles.

Questions

Who can apply?

Any registered company, of any size, in any sector. Sole traders are welcome as long as they are registered and meet the standard.

Do we need to meet every point today?

Yes, every pillar must be met at the time of recognition. If you are close, tell us in your application — we may hold your file open while you finish.

How much does it cost?

$299 for recognition, then $199 a year for annual surveillance. See pricing.

How long does recognition last?

One year from the date of recognition. Annual surveillance, a shorter review confirming nothing material has changed, renews it for another year.

Can recognition be withdrawn?

Yes. If we learn that a company no longer meets the standard, its recognition is revoked and its public record says so.

What do you do with our documents?

We use them only to assess your application and keep them confidential. Only your company name, location, sector, certificate number and dates are published.

Think you qualify?

The application walks you through each pillar.
