Basic is a privately held family trust dedicated to the long-term ownership, development and oversight of service-led businesses. Over the years we've learned that the companies that last are rarely the flashiest — they're the ones that get the basics right, every day.
Why we recognise companies
Customers, staff and partners shouldn't have to dig to find out whether a business is run properly. “A Basic Company” is a plain signal that someone independent has looked, and the fundamentals are in place.
How we stay independent
We are funded by the trust, not by the companies we review. Recognition can't be bought, and it is withdrawn when a company no longer meets the standard.
What we don't do
We don't rank, rate or audit. Recognition isn't a guarantee of quality, financial strength or future performance — it confirms that the essentials were in order when we checked.
