Who we are
basic, a private family trust based in Luxembourg, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: mail@basic.lu.
What we collect
When you apply, we collect information about your company and the contact details of the person applying (name, role, email, phone), together with your self-assessment and any documents you later send us.
Why we use it
To assess your application, contact you about it, and maintain the public record of recognised companies. Our legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before recognition and our legitimate interest in running a reliable recognition scheme.
What we publish
Only for recognised companies: company name, registration number, location, sector, website, certificate number and recognition dates. We never publish personal contact details or your self-assessment.
How long we keep it
Applications that are not approved are deleted after 24 months. Records of recognised companies are kept while recognition is active and for 5 years afterwards so that past seals can still be verified.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to its use, by writing to us. You may also complain to the Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD) in Luxembourg.
